Jeff Faylor

Rounding out the low end of the rhythm section along with drummer Rob Cremar, RMO bassist Jeff Faylor has had musical aspirations since the youthful age of 13. All hyped up by early 90's MTV (back when they still actually played music videos) and Aerosmith's album "PUMP", a young Jeff was loaned a Yamaha acoustic guitar by his uncle and was determined learn a few tunes. Thanks to the never-ending support by his parents, Jeff was provided with a couple of years of guitar lessons by Ken Jehle, one of Fort Wayne, Indiana's most accomplished guitarists and music instructors............
Jeff's first bass inclinations were developed in two ways: first of all, he was inspired by Billy Gould's bass playing on Faith No More's 1987 album "The Real Thing", particularly the song "Underwater Love". "It was the first time hearing bass lines that stuck out to me in a significant way." Jeff has said about this track. Secondly, during the course of his first concert (Van Halen on tour in 1995) Jeff is absolutely certain that bassist Michael Anthony made eye contact with him and acknowledged his presence in the audience, thus further igniting a bass-playing inspiration.............
RMO earliest history was developed in 2005, when fate would have Jeff moving in next door to RMO's lead man Rich Crosser. It was only a matter of time before some jamming occurred, but in the early days there were no ambitions of playing before large crowds. Jeff states "Back then, we looked at it like 'well, maybe sometime we could have people down in the basement to hear us play a couple of covers.' Then it was like 'perhaps sometime we could go out and play a party in the neighborhood'. Then it became, 'well, maybe we could get a gig and play some originals in public.' From there, it was 'maybe we could record an album' and 'maybe we could get a bike week gig or an out of state show in Detroit'." ..............
Each experience along the way has molded RMO into what it is today, and Jeff never takes it for granted. "It's an ever expanding family we have.. we have friends now that we otherwise never would have met had we not gotten into the music."
